What's a Retail Excellence Forum? It's a group of four or five other retailers like you, who meet once a month via conference call to discuss their businesses, address common challenges, and share their experience, wisdom and perspective.
Each Retail Excellence Forum is led and moderated by Ted Hurlbut, Principal of Hurlbut and Associates, and a retail expert with over 25 years of experience in helping retailers make more money.
So how does it work? Once you tell us you'd like to join a group, we'll match you up with four or five other retailers like you (but not your direct competitors). We'll try to match you on the basis of similar product lines, experience, and size, so the people you're meeting with are most likely to have experienced or be experiencing the same challenges as you.
We'll lead the group, find out what's on everybody's mind, develop a flexible agenda for each call to keep things organized and moving. And we'll do our best to schedule calls in the morning, before you open, so you're not away from your customers any more than is necessary. And we'll spend a half hour on the phone with you one-on-one before each meeting to find out how things are going with you, and what you're most interested in learning more about.
And what do we need from you? Each group lasts for six months, so we need your commitment that you'll be an active participant for each of those monthly meetings. We need you to be willing to share your experience and perspective open and honestly with the rest of the group. Finally, we need you to agree that everything that's shared with the group stays in the group.
