What is retail coaching?
Retail coaching seeks to enhance your capabilities to increase your effectiveness, satisfaction and financial well being. It is a one-on-one relationship between you and I, tailored to meet your specific needs and objectives. My role is to help you think more strategically, elevate above the day-to-day pressures, and take both your business and you to the next level.
What do you want to accomplish?
At the beginning of the coaching relationship, we agree on a specific agenda and objectives. Those objectives could include personal and professional development, business and organizational development, and executive and functional skill development. It all depends on what you choose to focus on and accomplish.
How does retail coaching work? What are the benefits?
The coaching process begins with an initial meeting to get to know each other. During that meeting I'll ask you to share your goals, frustrations and concerns. From that discussion, we'll develop a work plan to guide our work together. From there, we'll meet weekly over a period of several months, or perhaps longer. You can expect benefits that go well beyond the objectives of the work plan!
What can I expect of you? What will you expect of me?
We should expect many of the same things from each other: trust, honesty, commitment and accountability. You can also expect candor, objectivity and understanding. I will also expect purpose and perseverance from you. I have over 25 years of retail experience. I have worked with a wide variety of retailers, from large corporations and family-owned businesses. I hold an MBA from Babson College, and I'm a regular contributor to RetailWire and Inc.com.
